DisplayLink (formerly Newnham Research), Cambridge, United Kingdom (September 2007 to Present (Still Employed))

  • Contributed directly to DisplayLink revenue growth of 9,041% over the past five years and won the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for the fastest growing hardware company in EMEA, and second-fastest growing technology company in the UK.
  • Executed a successful product plan and built and directly managed a world-wide product management and marketing team that have allowed DisplayLink to become the undisputed leader in USB graphics with customers including HP, Toshiba, Lenovo, Acer, Samsung, and LG.
  • Direct oversight of P&L and product requirements for a hardware and software product lines.

  • Seven month overseas assignment in the DisplayLink Taiwan office in Taipei.
  • Met regularly with customers in Taiwan, China, Japan, and Korea to discuss product roadmaps and partnership opportunities, and to improve DisplayLink penetration into top accounts.
  • Closed business at high-volume accounts by providing expert product and market knowledge.

  • First Product Marketing employee hired; promoted to Director of Marketing in September 2007.
  • Implemented first DisplayLink marketing structure, processes, roadmaps, and documentation.
  • Worked closely with software development and QA teams in Cambridge and Poland.

Product Manager - Multimedia Software

  • Responsible for the product management and marketing of ATI multimedia software products, including TV, DVB-T/Freeview, MPEG-4/H.264 video, 3D accelerated video decode/encode, and Blu-Ray/HD-DVD related software.

  • Initiated, negotiated the contract, and managed the successful outsourcing of a multi-million dollar multimedia software application for Windows PCs.
